You should now be in Blender with a basic cube in Edit Mode.

Press the Middle Mouse Button and move your mouse.  This should change the view of the cube.

The G Key.  (Grab)

  1. Right Click on one of the vertices of the cube. 
  2. Press the G Key.  (G stands for Grab).
  3. Move your mouse.
  4. Press the Left Click Button.

The B Key.  (Selecting)

  1. Press the B Key twice.
  2. You should get a circle like this. 
  3. Drag your circle over the vertices and click.  This lets you select a lot of vertices. 
  4. When you are done selecting press the right click button.

The S Key.  (Scaling or Sizing).

  1. Press the S Key.
  2. Move your mouse into the cube.
  3. Left click when you are done scaling.
  4. Press the S Key.
  5. Move your mouse away from the cube. 
  6. Left click when you are done scaling.

The E Key.  (Extrude)  Extrude means to pull and create more vertices, edges, or faces.

  1. Press the E Key.
  2. Click Only Edges. 
  3. Move your mouse.
  4. Left Click when you are done extruding.
  5. Press the E Key again.
  6. Move your mouse again.
  7. Continue this process a few times.
