Copying and Saving an E-Mail

Today's lesson is about copying and pasting an e-mail.  We will also save any pictures that might be sent to us.

  1. Log into your e-mail. 

  2. Navigate to your e-mail. 

  3. Go to your inbox. 

We have two messages.  The first is picture that we want to save.

  1. Here we are looking at part of a picture in an e-mail. 

  2. We need to Right Click on the picture.

  3. When you right click on the picture a menu will pop up. 

  4. Click on Save Picture As. 

  5. Change the File Name and click save. 

  6. Now your file is saved.

  7. If you want to check your file click "My Documents."

  8. Double click "My Pictures."

  9. You should find your picture there.

Now the picture is saved on your computer.

Now lets say you have an a-mail that is all words that you want to save.

  1. Navigate to the e-mail with the text that you want to save.

  2. This will be a little tricky but you can do it!

  3. Here is what the e-mail looks like. 

  4. We are going to left click at the top of the message.

  5. Hold down the left click button and move your mouse down to the bottom of the message.

  6. It should all turn blue. 

  7. Click Edit.

  8. Click Copy. 

  9. Click Start. 

  10. Click Programs. 

  11. Click Accessories. 

  12. Click Word Pad. 

  13. In Word Pad - click Edit.

  14. Click Paste. 

  15. Click File.

  16. Click Save. 

  17. Your Done.
