Creating Your Own Icon

Before reading...  This is an advanced lesson.  Not so advanced though, because I can still do it.

Before beginning you must have Paint.Net installed on your computer.  You can find the program at www.getpaint.net

A man named Evan created a program for creating icons in Paint.net.  You can find the files at IcoCur.zip (24.6 kb)

If you want to type the website address type http://www.evanolds.com/pdnicocur.html

  1. When you click IcoCur.zip you will be asked what you want to do.  Click Open. 

  2. When you click open you will see 2 files. 

  3. Right click the green file. 

  4. Click Copy.

  5. Click My computer.

  6. Click Local Disk C:

  7. Click Program Files.

  8. Click Paint.net

  9. Click File Types.

  10. In the white area Right Click.

  11. Click Paste.
