The Internet and the Television

To begin with we are going to create a television schedule for ourselves.

1. Click Start

2. Click Internet Explorer. 

3. Type www.google.com in the address bar. 

4. In the Google search bar type "tv guide." 

5. Click Google Search.

6. The first listing will be a few links from TVguide.com.  Click on the link that is about tv listings. 

7. Enter a zip code for where you live.

8. Next is to select what type of television you receive.  You might have cable, dish, or antenna.  I have antenna so I'm going to continue with that.

9. Click the reception that applies to you.

10. Here a couple of things we can change.  The listings are set to show 4 hours of time.  The trick that is up to you is to pick the correct 4 hours.  Some of you might call this Mission Impossible but it is possible to select the right time.

11.   You can click on the down arrow next to the day to specify the day.  You can click on the down arrow next to the time to specify the time.

Lets continue on to television shows.

1. Go back to www.google.com.
2. Type in the name of the television show.
3. For this example we are going to search out Jeopardy.
4. When the results pop up we need to find the official website of Jeopardy.  In the search you will see the official website.
