Finding Your Ancestors Through Ancestry.com
A little note. This website costs money. Somewhere in the tune of $10 to $20 dollars per month. However they give you the first 14 days for free.
Go to www.ancestry.com
Start your family tree by entering your first and last name.

Then click "Start your tree."
Then you will be asked to add your father and mother.

You will be asked to watch for the leaf.
![]()
The leaf means that the information about your ancestors may already be on the website.
If the leaf appears it probably is.
When you type in the name of your father or mother you will then be asked to enter an e-mail and password. This will begin your 14 day free trial membership.
When you type in the name ancestry.com will start searching for ancestry records. It may not find them for a couple of minutes but it usually will.
Click the leaf for a hint.
That will take you to this screen.

Click on the Ancestry Family Trees.
You should then be able to add a person to your family tree.
People that you find will look like this.

Click next to their name and then click "Add to your tree."
