Free Alternative to Microsoft Office
OpenOffice

Microsoft Office costs somewhere around $150 dollars.  The free alternative is Open Office for free.  Here is how to get it:

1. Go to the website www.openoffice.org.

2. Click

3. Click download now. 

4. You may have to make a few more clicks.  Downloading the program will take a few minutes.

5. Follow the directions to install the program.

Now lets look at the program.

1. The basics of the program.

2. Click Start.

3. Click Programs.

4. Look for Open Office.

5. Look for Open Office Writer. 

6. How do you get back to a file you have already started.

   1. Go down to Recent Documents and click the file that you want.

How to change the width of the page.

1. Click Format.
2. Click Page. 
3. Click the Page Tab.
