Making the Internet a Safer Place to Search

  1. Start Internet Explorer.

  2. Click Tools. 

  3. Click Internet Options. 

  4. Click the Security Tab. 

  5. The standard security setting is medium high.

  6. We are going to change that setting to high. 

  7. Click apply. 

Here is how to un-restrict good websites:

  1. Start Internet Explorer.

  2. Click Tools. 

  3. Click Internet Options. 

  4. Click the Security Tab. 

  5. Click Trusted Sites. 

  6. Set the level to Medium-High. 

  7. Click sites. 

  8. Click the checkmark to turn off the Https. 

  9. Type in the website that you want to add. 

  10. Click Add. 

Here is what to do if the security is too high and a picture won't download.

  1. Click Tools. 

  2. Click Internet Options. 

  3. Click the Security Tab. 

  4. Drop the security down. 

  5. Click apply. 

  6. Click Ok.

  7. Download the picture.

  8. Set the security back to high.

A one time solution is to download Google Chrome.  It is a Internet browser that keeps your computer secure.

  1. Go to the website

  2. Select a language. 

  3. Click Download Google Chrome. 

  4. Click accept and install. 

  5. It will start to download on its own. 

  6. After a few minutes click "Start Google Chrome. 

 

 

The other alternative is Mozilla FireFox.  Go to the website www.mozilla.com
