Hyperlinks Lesson
Mini Lesson on Alt - Tab
Here is the lesson about Alt - Tab Key.
- Hold Down the Alt Key.
- Keep holding the Alt Key and press the Tab Key.
- This small window will pop up.

- The window shows you which windows are available to use.
- Keep holding the Alt Key and press the tab key one at a time. This
will take you to each window. When you find the window you want let go
of the Alt key and the computer will go to that window.
Creating Your Own Hyperlinking
A hyperlink will take you to a website.
- Open Microsoft Word.
- Type in a description of the website you like. You might type, "I
like Google Maps for finding directions."
- Type in
www.google.com (Remember spelling counts. A wrong spelling
will take you to the wrong website.)
- After you type it in press the space bar and the hyperlink will be
created for you.
- Here is the example of four websites I created.
This is a website for making directions.
www.Maps.google.com
This is another good
website for directions.
www.maps.bing.com
Here is my website for
news.
www.abcnews.com
Here is my website for
garage sales.
www.craigslist.org

Now to make this document a webpage you can place on
your desktop.

Click File.

Click Save As.

You need to change the file type to Web Page.

Name the file. I'm going to call mine homepage.

Save it on your desktop.

Now I have a link on my desktop for the homepage I
created.
