This is how to copy a CD or DVD.

The CD or DVD cannot be copyright protected.  This means if it has a label on it like Disney, Columbia, or any other major label it will not work.

  1. Place the DVD in your computer's DVD players.

  2. When we do this the DVD will probably start playing automatically.

  3. Exit whatever program starts up.  You can usually do this by pressing ALT - F4.

  4. On your desktop you need to create a folder.  Right Click on your desktop.

  5. Select New and then folder.

  6. Name the folder DVD Copy.

  7. Click Start.

  8. Click My Computer.

  9. Right Click on the DVD.

  10. Click Explore.

  11. You will find 2 or 3 files in the folder.

  12. Click and drag a box around the files and folders.  They should turn blue.

  13. Drag these over to the folder named DVD Copy.

  14. It will usually take 10 to 20 minutes to copy.

  15. When it finishes take the DVD out.

  16. Put a blank DVD in.

  17. Click Start.

  18. Click Programs.

  19. Click whatever CD and DVD software writing program you have.

  20. You will have to drag the 3 folders and files from the DVD copy folder to the new DVD.

  21. Make sure you do not drag the folder named DVD Copy.  It must be what is inside the folder.

  22. When you are ready click Burn or Begin or Start that is in your program.
