Finding Answers with Google

    First, Google is an Internet search engine.  It searches all the internet for answers to your questions.  There are basically 2 ways to find answers.  First ask the question.  Second describe the problem.

  1. Click Start.

  2. Click Internet Explorer.

  3. In the address bar type www.google.com

  4. In the Google bar type in your questions or describe your problem.  Here are 2 examples:

  5. Click Google Search and explore what you have found.  Be aware of advertisements.  A lot of the links will be advertising.

Here is what to do for directions.

  1. Click Start.

  2. Click Internet Explorer.

  3. In the address bar type www.google.com

  4. In the Google Bar type in the address of where you are starting from.

  5. Make sure you add a comma after the address and city.

  6. Click Google Search. 

  7. A small map will pop up of the location.  Click on the link above "maps.google.com

  8. Now you will have a much bigger map.  Now you click "To here - or From here. 

  9. Type in the address of where you are going or where you are coming from.  After that click Go. 

  10. You now have your directions.

  11. You can always reverse your directions if you need to.
