A Plate of Templates

 

Templates are like patterns that are used for dresses.  A template can be followed to create newsletters, award certificates, resumes, calendars, announcements, invitations, recipes, flyers, and other types of nice looking documents.

 

1.         Turn on the computer.

2.         Say your prayers because you know this never works the first time.

3.         Locate Internet Explorer.  Double Click Internet Explorer.

4.         Type www.microsoft.com in the address toolbar.  It looks like this. 

5.         Click the “Go” in green.

6.         Up at the top right corner find the button that says search.  Type in “template”.  It looks like this: 

7.         Click search

8.         The first link should be  “Microsoft Office Templates Home Page”  Click on it.

9.         We are now going to search for newsletter.  Type “newsletter in the search box.

10.    Click Go.

11.    Use the up and down arrow key to go down to “Family Newsletter.”  Click on the piece of paper that says “Family Newsletter.”  

12.    Click Download Now

 

This next part only has to be done once.

 

13.    You will now see an “End User License Agreement.”  Click Accept.

14.    A security warning will come up next.  Don’t worry the FBI are not coming.  You can click yes without any worry.

15.    The next window might ask you for user information.  You can type nothing or everything it doesn’t matter.  Just Click Yes.
