First Things First

You should already have a copy of the floor plan.  If you don't see the teacher.  Your floor plan looks something like this.

Step 1.  Take out your ruler and beginning measure all the walls.  You are going to measure in centimeters.  Use decimal points.  Measure interior and exterior walls.

Step 2.  We need to increase the scale of the house to make it better.  Take each measurement and times it by 3.  Write this number next to the measurement in centimeters.  Circle it.  Look at the example.
