
Click Object Mode.
Then select Edit Mode.

Click Subdivide twice.

Your cube now has more vertices, faces, and edges to play
with. 
Right click the top right vertex. It will turn yellow
when you click it.

Press the G Key. Move your mouse away from the cube.

Click View. Then select top.

Find the selecting mode buttons.
Click Face Select Mode.
Your cube will change how it
looks too.

Hold down the Shift Key. Right click the top 4 faces.
When you click make sure click right on the small black square.
The faces will turn pink when you have selected them.

Click view. Click Front.

Press the E Key. Click Individual Faces.
Move your mouse up or down until
you have what the picture shows.
When
you have created this picture click.
Click View. Then select top.

Right click on a face.

Press the G Key. Move your mouse to the side.

Do the same with the other 3 faces.

Select all 4 faces. Hold the Shift Key and right click
all 4 faces.

Press the S Key. Move your mouse. Left Click.
I ended up with this you may end up with something different.
