Tracing the Chess Piece

Choose this picture for all the pieces.

Choose this picture for the pawn.

1. Right click on the picture you want.

2. Click Save Picture As. 

3. Look at the "Save In" box.  Make sure it says "My Pictures."  If it doesn't ask for help. 

4. Look at the name of the file.

5. Click Save.

6. Start Blender.

7. Click >View >Front.

8. Click View.

9. Click background image. 

10. Click Use Background Image. (Yours might say load image)

11. Click Load. 

12. Now you have to navigate to the picture.

13. Click on the two triangles. 

14. Click on the computer user that you are.

15. Navigate to "My Pictures."  My Pictures is usually located in the My Documents folder.

16. Select the picture by clicking it once.

17. Click Select Picture. 

18. The picture should now be on your desktop.

19. This bar will show how transparent your picture is.    I like to set it around .75.

20. Now you can start tracing and building.
