Achieving Planetary Orbit Around the Sun

All the planets travel around the sun.  Centuries ago people throught all the planets traveled around the earth.  That idea was wrong.  Boooo on anyone who thinks that the planets travel around the earth.  Remember that planets travel in an ellipse around the sun.  We are going to use simple circle for our animation though.

During the next lessons you are going to make the planets travel around the sun.

To make orbiting more interesting to look at we are going to bring the planets in close together.  Right click on each planet and bring them in close to the sun.  You should have something like this.

Here is quick chart to how many days it takes each planet to go around the sun.

Planet Revolution Around
the Sun (Rounded)
Mercury 88 days
Venus 225 days
Earth 365 days
Mars 687 days
Jupiter 4332 days
Saturn 10,759 days
Uranus 30,707 days
Neptune 60,198 days
Pluto (Dwarf Planet) 90,474 days
