Building a Winter Scene in Blender
What is
this.... another Snowman
- Now for the trees.
- We need to move our insertion point. A red circle should appear to
the left.
- Left click to the side of the snowman.

- Switch to top view.

- Click >Add >Mesh >Cone.

- Press the S KEY to scale it a little bigger.

- Go to front view.
- Press the G KEY and move it up a little.
- Select the bottom vertices and move them up a little.

- Press F5 for materials.
- Click Add New.

- Name the material fir tree.

- Click the texture button.

- Click Add New.

- Set your texture type to image.

- Click Load.

- Navigate to your picture by clicking the two triangles.

- Click select image.
- Set the X Repeat value to 2.

- Go into object mode.
- Press Shift D.
- Move the next cone down a little.
- Press the S key to make it bigger.
- Press Shift D.
- Move the next cone down a little.
- Press the S key to make it bigger.

- Select all three pieces of the tree. Hold the Shift Key and right
click each piece.

- Press Ctrl J to join them.
- Click join selected meshes.

- Using Shift D create a little forest.

- Add some additional lighting and see what you get.
